Cycling in North Holland

Day 1 Arrival in Enkhuizen
Take a first exploration tour through the pretty old town of the former centre of herring fishing. Embarkation from 4 pm.

Day 2 Enkhuizen-Hoorn, 17-25 km/11-16 mi
Start the day with a stroll through the pretty harbor town. The Zuiderseemuseum is also worth a visit. You then set off on your first cycle tour to the historic town of Hoorn with its many 17th century buildings.

Day 3 Boat trip & Lemmer bike trip, 33-44 km/21-27 mi
Straight across the IJsselmeer, you will cruise to the starting point of today’s cycling stage while enjoying the typical Frisian landscape.

Day 4 Lemmer-Stavoren, 31-41 km/19-30 mi, boat trip
Today’s cycling route will take you along the coast, and through woodland on the way to Stavoren. Here the ship takes you to the Frisian port city of Harlingen - famous for its canals, bridges and magnificent buildings.

Day 5 Harlingen bike trip, 44 km/27 mi, boat trip
A varied cycle tour through the nature of Friesland awaits you. You will then cross over to Texel by boat.

Day 6 Texel round trip, 28-48 km/17-30 mi, boat trip
There are several routes to choose from, or you can simply enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches. At 5 pm, the ship will take you to Medemblik.

Day 7 Medemblik-Enkhuizen, 23-47 km/ 14-29 mi, boat trip
Today you have the choice between a longer and a shorter tour. Medemblik, the oldest town in West Friesland, has plenty to offer. Here you’ll find Radboud Castle and a lovely bakery museum. Cycle along the coast through the dunes to Enkhuizen.

Day 8 Disembarkation and departure
After breakfast your cycling vacation in North Holland is over. Disembarkation until 08:30 am.

• If you choose to wear a helmet, we recommend using your own due to the variety of head sizes and shapes and for hygienic reasons.

The booking process

Arrival:

• Arrival by car:
  Free parking at Enkhuizen station, walking distance to the berth. Reservation not possible.

• Arrival by train:
  Enkhuizen station

• Arrival by plane:
  Schiphol Airport, take the train to Enkhuizen, duration approx. 70 min, 1 x changes, standard fare approx. 18 €.

Personal bikes:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Perfectly looked after:
During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.
