Cycle tour in Northern Dalmatia

Island hopping truly is the correct term for this cycling holiday, as a multitude of large and small, mostly green islands are on the itinerary. Zadar and Šibenik are the urban highlights, but this cycle tour in Northern Dalmatia is shaped by forests, the sea and beaches with great swimming opportunities. A bit of stamina won’t go amiss as a lot of the islands feature slight inclines from sea level. However, if you don’t feel like it - why not stay aboard the motor sailer MS Dalmatino.

Day 1 Arrival in Zadar, Isle of Molat, 15 km/9 mi
Embarkation until 1 pm. After a short boat ride there is the first tour on the island of Molat. Then we will go by boat with great views to the island of Zverinac.

Day 2 Nature Park Telašćica, 19 km/12 mi
After a morning boat ride, you will cycle on a varied bike tour on the largest island in the region, Dugi Otok, from the port town of Božava via Brbinj to the main and administrative town of Sali.

Day 3 Vodice-Krka national park-Skradin,  9-35 km/6-22 mi
Today in the morning there is only a short bike ride from Sali to the Telašćica Nature Park, because afterwards we will go by boat through the National Park of Kornati Islands. Today's destination is Šibenik. In the afternoon, take the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear water.

Day 4 Skradin-Krka national park-Vodice, 19 km/12 mi
Today you will cycle through the national park to the famous Krka waterfalls. Back in Skradin the boat is waiting. After lunch on board you can go by boat or bike to Vodice.

Day 5 Vodice-Tribunj-Isle of Murter, 26 km/16 mi
Today you will cycle from the popular resort of Vodice via Tribun to the island of Murter, which you will reach via a lift bridge. The destination of the day is the beautiful pebble bay Podvrške.

Day 6 National park Vransko Jezero, 49 km/ mi
Bike tour from Biograd na mornu to the nature and bird sanctuary of Lake Vranko jezero. In the afternoon we will go by boat to the nearby island of Pašman.

Day 7 The isles of Pašman and Insel Ugljan, 33 km/21 mi
On the final tour we "cycle" two islands - Pašman and Ugljan. With a stop for swimming, the boat will take you back to Zadar.

Day 8 Disembarkation and departure

The booking process

Arrival to "Cycle tour in Northern Dalmatia":

• Parking in Zadar:
  Arrival at harbour until 12 o'clock, admission to enclosed car park (The parking in Zadar, must be booked together with the trip.), embarkationbetween 11:30 am and 1 pm. Followed by a welcome drink and snack on board, then boat crossing to Pašman.

• Arrival by train:
  Not recommended (duration approx. 24 h)

• Flying in to Zadar airport:
  take the bus to Zadar Bus terminal, duration approx. 0.5 h

Personal bikes:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Perfectly looked after:
